Summarizer- Baby´s ear
Val and her mother live in Florida. Her mum is worried about Val´s grandma. She sleeps most of the day, watches television the whole day and she doesn´t try to make new friends. She´s even thought about goning back to New York, which is a bad decsion.
Val decides to make her grandma like Florida. She takes her grandma to the beach, to collect seashells. Her plan is to spread out her seashells on the beach, so her grandma can find the seashells.  Val´s plan works perfectly and they both comes home happy, after a adventure on the beach.

Summarizer- Hunger
This story is based on a true story, and it´s told by Richard Wright. The story takes place on the streets in Memphis, Tennesse. Richard Wright’s dad has left his family and the lack of food is even bigger. Richard and his brother must learn to take care of themselves and help out at home. When Richard´s mum finally gets a job, the family gets a little bit of money. Richards gets the task to buy food at the corner store. But what we should have learned from this point is that the life on the streets in Memphis can be really tough. When Richard reached the corner, he is knocked down by a gang of boys. They snatch his basket and take his money. Richard runs home in panic and tells his mother. His mother writes a new note, gives Richars new money and send him out again. Once more, the gang beat up Richard and took his money. When Richard returns home, terrified, his mother gears him with a long heavy stick, and threatens to whip him if he comes back without food. Richard sets off for the third time, but this time, he is armed. When the gang surrounds him, Richard lets the stick fly between the boys´ skull, he has defeated the gang! He finally comes to the market, and buys the food. At this time, Richard won the fights on the street.

Creative connector- The story about the dog
The first thing I can relate to is the movie Gilbert Grape. I can see the connections between Arnie Grape in the movie, and Christopher Boone in the text, because they both have Asperger´s syndrom and are teenagers. When I read the text, I also get the feeling that it takes place long time ago, at the same century as Gilbert Grape. Because their names seems pretty old, and the whole spirit seems old.
I can connect the police-incident with alot of incidents in the real life. The whole thing about blame the wrong person is classic. For example, people can be judged for their gender, complextion, background, religion, ethnicity and documents, which in my opinion is pretty sick. In this story the police suspect Christopher because he´s hugging the dog, and seems ”unsure” when he answer the police.
